More than 75 Georgia Branch, AGC Young Leadership Program (YLP) members and their guests met recently at Turner Field in Atlanta to kick off YLP's program for the upcoming year.
The program's chairman, Brian Perry of Sterling Risk Advisors, and vice-chairman, Doug Hunter of Holder Construction Group, both were excited to offer this event to the program's members. According to the Georgia Branch, AGC, a key goal of the YLP is to offer "a friendly, fun and inviting environment for young professionals to network, share ideas and experiences, and to grow within their career path."
The Georgia Branch, AGC YLP places an emphasis on making sure the younger generation of contractors and industry professionals find a place to become leaders through the association. By involving this group of members in association business, the chapter's board of directors believes they are ensuring the construction industry will have proactive advocate for many years to come.
Following the meeting, YLP members stayed to watch the Atlanta Braves make a ninth-inning rally to win the game against the Giants.
