Tilt-Up Concrete Association (TCA) releases its sixth edition of the Tilt-Up Construction and Engineering Manual. The updated manual contains substantial revisions based on feedback from a wide variety of experts throughout the industry and also includes new content. The American Road & Transportation Builders Association (ARTBA) has released the book, "America's Top 100 Private Sector Transportation Design & Construction Professionals of the 20th Century." The book recognizes contributions made by individuals of the transportation construction industry including builders, engineers, equipment innovators, technology and materials innovators, safety pioneers, educators, news media, and association executives. The Top 100 list was selected from a survey that ARTBA conducted that was part of the association's 2002–2003 centennial celebration. The Daveytronic digital blasting system software version 3.44 by Advanced Initiation Systems Inc. has been upgraded to allow the firing sequence and all detonators in the pattern to be tested by the hand-held field programming unit. It features remote total system verification by the blasting machine prior to the charge and firing sequences.
