DBM Contactors Inc. recently completed a 22,000-square-foot (300 feet long by 27 feet high) permanent shotcrete soil nail wall for Piazza D'Oro, a 221-townhome community with retail and office space. The owner is K. Hovnanian of California and the construction manager was J.T. Kruer and Company.
The $1.05-million contract involved installing 636 soil nails 15 feet to 35 feet long and 14 soldier piles up to 50 feet deep.
