Staff -- Associated Construction Publications, 1/1/2007

Precast concrete manufacturers Encon United and GPHM Prestress have joined AltusGroup™ Inc. as producer members, continuing to expand the availability of CarbonCast® precast technology west of the Mississippi River. CarbonCast is a precast technology that uses conventional steel for primary reinforcing and C-GRID for secondary reinforcing and shear transfer. It is said to provide long-term durability, light weight, fine finishes, and improved insulating properties and sustainability. In addition, Essroc Italcementi Group has become an AltusGroup Innovation partner to contribute its advanced cement and admixture expertise to the growing partnership. AltusGroup Inc. is a partnership of several of industry's largest precasters and C-GRID Developer, Tech Fab LLC.
