The MNA dealer section can be accessed on the U.S. site by selecting MNA Dealer Only Area on the distributor pulldown menu or it can be accessed directly by going to www.mnadealers.com. The website provides a global view of the Manitou Group while providing specific information on Manitou North America and its products.

Website, www.MEPSurplus.com, offers contractors an easy way to buy/sell surplus mechanical, electrical and plumbing inventory online. Contractors visit the site, where they subscribe as either a buyer, or a buyer/seller. Once a contractor is verified, that contractor is given unlimited access to the site for an entire year. The buy-only package for this site is free with no obligation or hidden fees. Contractors who have purchased or upgraded to the buyer/seller package can post their surplus items for sale, looking to turn those items back into cash. Buyers often find items they need at discounted prices and the selection is always changing. Typical items include: HVACR parts and equipment, pipefitting materials and equipment, metal-forming equipment, electrical and plumbing items, ductwork, sheetmetal products, office equipment, and business vehicles. Exclusively for use by contractors, whether residential, commercial or industrial, currently, first-time subscribers to www.MEPSurplus.com receive a 15-month subscription for the price of a 12-month subscription if they purchase the buyer/seller package. Contractors interested in buying can register and search the entire site for free. Headquartered in Cleveland, Ohio, MEP Surplus was founded in 2006 to meet the needs of fellow contractors.

Construction subcontractors that want to comply with the letter and spirit of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act by disclosing a code of ethics to their clients have a new tool at their disposal. The American Subcontractors Association (ASA) has approved the "Model Code of Ethics for a Construction Subcontractor," a document available for download from ASA's website at www.asaonline.com. The code contains language that subcontractors can adapt to address 11 areas of ethical concern: competition, qualifications, standards of practice, conflicts of interest, public safety, service providers and suppliers, employees, public information, compliance with laws, image of the construction industry, and internal procedures. To help subcontractors tailor the model language to their needs, the code contains fields where subcontractors can enter their company names. ASA's model code contains language that would be useful to any business developing a code of ethics, but the code also addresses ethical concerns specific to the construction industry, such as language addressing bid shopping and bid peddling, the ability to perform contracts, jobsite safety and working conditions, and prompt payment of service providers and suppliers as well as the industry's image. ASA amplifies the voice of and leads trade contractors to improve the business environment for the construction industry.
