Ed McHale Named Stafford C.O.O.

Staff -- Dixie Contractor, 4/16/2007

Stafford has selected Ed McHale to be the company's chief operating officer (COO). McHale will be based out of the Raleigh, N.C., branch and is responsible for overseeing the establishment of common procedures and practices across all 11 of Stafford's locations.

During the past year, Stafford has experienced a significant amount of growth by adding six new locations across the Southeast. Most recently, Stafford has acquired Roanoke, Va.-based Scott-Gallaher, Inc. Late last year, Stafford added a branch location in Fairburn, Ga. The new location allows Stafford to easily service its customers on the south side of Atlanta. Nearly one year ago, Stafford acquired A.E. Finley of the Carolinas, which added four new Stafford locations.

Stafford began in Tifton, Georgia, back in 1951, as Reliable Tractor and currently represents Link-Belt Excavators; TEREX Cranes and Construction Equipment; Kolberg-Pioneer & Johnson Crushers International Inc. (KPI-JCI); Astec Mobile Screens; Terex Articulated and Rigid Frame Trucks; Terex Roadbuilding; Kobelco Cranes and Excavators; Hyundai Construction Equipment; Liebherr Crawler Loaders; MOXY trucks; GOMACO Paving Equipment; BOMAG Compaction Equipment; Etnyre Asphalt Distributors and Trailers; Efficiency Trench Boxes; and many other equipment lines and attachments, in select areas, across the Southeast. Stafford also represents the John Deere Agricultural and Utility Construction lines from three of its locations in South Georgia.
