Multi-Functional Laser Distance Meter

Staff -- Associated Construction Publications, 3/1/2008

The Leica DISTO™ D3 is a multi-functional instrument that ensures simple, quick and reliable measurements. Measuring distances of up to 325 feet within 1/16 inch — in spite of nearby obstructions — and determining angles quickly and precisely is done easily. The cutting edge Leica DISTO D3 is said to be the smallest most reliable laser distance meter in the world that fits into every pocket.

Measuring Made Easy — The Versatile DISTO with a Modern Look

The Leica DISTO D3 is prepared for all measuring situations. Aim the instrument straight at the target point, whether measuring out of corners, slots or from edges with the multifunctional end piece. The instrument detects the end piece automatically, which helps avoid expensive measuring errors. The instrument's built-in tilt sensor quickly and simply determines tilts up to plus or minus 45 degrees. The tilt sensor can also provide the user with true horizontal distances. Reliable measurements are therefore guaranteed in all situations.

Automatic Keypad and Display Illumination, Multiple Functions

While measuring, a built-in sensor detects if the environment is dark and switches on the illumination of the keypad and display so measurements in the dark can be done without any problem. In addition, the unit is equipped with multiple functions — it can calculate areas, volumes, room dimensions and supports various types of Pythagorean functions. A time delay release and enough memory for up to 20 measurements finish off the instruments wide range of functions — a concept designed to make your work easier.

Quality that Pays Dividends — Three Year Warranty

Leica DISTO stands for high quality. Leica Geosystems offers a three-year warranty on all Leica DISTO instruments if you register within eight weeks of the date of purchase.
