Consolidated Construction Co., Inc., Appleton, is general contractor for the new 105-room "aloft" Green Bay hotel. The aloft hotel is a new brand launched by Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide. The Green Bay/Ashwaubenon aloft hotel, located in a redevelopment area near the Fox River, will be the first in Wisconsin.

It is owned by AB Hospitalities, a local company established by members of the Ashwaubenon Boardwalk, LLC, and Supple Hospitality, LLC.

Aloft hotels are unique for featuring rooms with 9-foot ceilings and oversized windows to create a bright, airy environment; large stylish bathrooms; and a combination high-tech office and entertainment center.

Construction is underway, and the hotel is expected to open later in 2008.
