Konecranes Low Headroom CXT1® Electric Wire Rope Hoist

Staff -- Associated Construction Publications, 4/15/2008

Konecranes offers the CXT1 electric wire rope hoist, designed to meet the needs of a broad range of industrial lifting applications. The hoists are manufactured for one- and two-ton lifting applications where smooth, trouble-free performance is essential.

CXT1 Electric Wire Rope HoistThe CXT family of hoists incorporates the latest engineering and saves on maintenance, repair, and downtime costs over the lifetime of the equipment. The CXT1 is a perfect replacement hoist for existing bridge cranes, jibs, and monorail applications; and is also the preferred solution for new one- and two-ton single girder top and under running industrial bridge cranes.

The hoists are designed with large diameter drums and true lift reeving for longer cable life and accurate load positioning. The hoisting duty-rated lifting motor comes standard with class-F insulation, 60 percent effective-duty rating, a heavy-duty DC hoist brake, and two-speed operation of the hoist and trolley.

The hoist boasts an impressive 6 to 1 hoist motor speed ratio and provides slow "spotting" speed for safe and accurate final positioning, without compromising the operator's ability to move loads quickly. It features a near true vertical lift and is designed for applications that require performance and precision in areas with limited headroom.

The close headroom design of the hoist maximizes the use of existing building space and hoist lift. The balanced hoist design provides exceptional stability on small bridge cranes, monorails, or jib crane beams. The CXT1 comes standard with a close headroom motorized two-speed trolley with a disc brake, solo hoisting controls (mainline contactor and control transformer), and a two-motion pendant with an emergency stop button. The hoists are in stock and ready for shipment for most common voltages.
