Boyken International, Inc. has been engaged as the project manager for the Texas Regional Medical Center at Sunnyvale, Texas, by developer Cottonwood Partners Management, Ltd. In addition to the owner's representative services, Boyken International will provide cost management and cost estimating services. John Sousa, AIA will serve as senior project manager for Boyken.

The new hospital will be licensed for 70 beds and will include 53 medical/surgical suites, six operating rooms, an emergency department with six treatment rooms, eight ICU beds, and a women's center with labor-and-delivery suites and postpartum rooms.

The 117,000-square-foot facility will be Sunnyvale's first hospital when it opens in the spring of 2009.
