AGC presented the Skill-Responsibility-Integrity Award to Wayne D. Anderson, Crawford Merz Anderson Construction Company, Minneapolis, for his dedication to the construction industry. He purchased the company, which was established in 1886, in 2001 and specialized in commercial and high-end residential construction buildings in the Twin Cities.

The Lifetime Achievement Award was given to Patrick E. Klein, vice president at PCL Construction Services Inc. Pat's career spans over 40 years, and he has been involved in numerous high-profile projects in the Twin Cities and around the country. The most notable project was Pat's role as the project director for the construction of the Mall of America.

A special award created for the annual meeting was the Skill-Responsibility-Integrity Team Award given to workers from Progressive Contractors Inc., who were on and near the I-35W Bridge when it collapsed. The workers received recognition for their selfless acts of heroism when they helped rescue those trapped on the fallen bridge and worked with first responders.
