Distinguished Service Award Presentation by The Asphalt Institute

Staff -- Associated Construction Publications, 6/1/2008

Roger Rixom, retired vice president of technology for Florida-based ArrMaz Custom Chemicals Inc. was presented with the Distinguished Service Award by the Asphalt Institute. This award recognizes individuals who members of the Institute feel have made outstanding contributions to the asphalt industry.

Rixom was an integral part in growing ArrMaz's additive business. He developed alternative and improved chemistry for antistrip additives, bringing a relatively archaic technology into the 21st century. Rixom was also involved in the development of the use of asphalt in a proprietary industrial application.
