TRC Worldwide Engineering has appointed Todd McCoy, P.E. as its chief operating officer. A 23-year industry veteran, McCoy also serves as president of TRC's Precast Concrete Engineering Group and its Parking Structures Group.
The Asphalt Roofing Manufacturers Association (ARMA) announced its elected officers and executive committee members for 2008–2009. Sheree L. Bargabos, president, Roofing and Asphalt, Owens Corning, is ARMA's new president. Bargabos also serves on the ARMA Executive Committee and the ARMA board of directors.
John K. Donaldson, president, Roofing Products Group, CertainTeed Corporation, will serve as ARMA's vice president. Steve A. Ratcliff, president & CEO, Tarco, of Little Rock, Ark., will serve as secretary-treasurer.
JLG Industries, Inc., an Oshkosh Corporation company [NYSE: OSK] and manufacturer of aerial work platforms and telescopic material handlers, announced the promotion of Rick Alton to the position of vice president and general manager for JLG's Caterpillar Alliance Group (CAG).
Nirmal Tolani recently assumed duties as director of business development for Hendrickson International Operations. In this new role, Tolani will assist in development of Hendrickson's joint ventures in India and have responsibility for other international business development activities as they arise, reported Mike Keeler, Hendrickson vice president of international operations, in announcing the appointment.
The National Ready Mixed Concrete Association has promoted Eileen Dickson to managing director, education, in recognition of her significant role in overseeing the Association's education and training efforts. Dickson was previously senior director of the department.
Dickson's current responsibilities include managing NRMCA's STEPS® programs (Seminars, Training, and Education Programs) and relevant publications. She also administers the annual Innovation and Excellence-in-Training award programs and is staff liaison to Educational Activities Committee. Since joining the Association in 2000, Dickson has helped to introduce or expand a number of programs, seminars and classes, including the four-module Certified Concrete Sales Professional program, The Effective RMC Supervisor and Leadership: Manager's Game Plan. Each of these offerings has been well received by the industry, with attendees praising content and presentation.
The American Road and Transportation Builders Association (ARTBA) has promoted Michael Sakata to director of information technology (IT). In the newly created position, Sakata will manage all aspects of the association's IT services, including systems design, programming, installation, and operation. Hewill also oversee ARTBA's computer department, website and Internet-related activities. Sakata first joined ARTBA in 2002 as network administrator and became director of network services in March 2006.
Barton Malow has promoted Len Moser to head National Sports Group. Phil Roy has been promoted from senior operations manager to vice president, Southern Region.
John Beaver has been promoted to vice president of quality assurance and service at Topcon. Prior to his promotion he had served as director of operations/quality. Murray Lodge has been promoted to vice president of construction survey. Mark Contino, former director of sales and marketing, has accepted the new role of vice president of survey sales. Jason Killpack will be the new director of product marketing and events. Dale Jefferson will assume the new position of director of product management and training. Peter Wallace, former director of survey sales, is the new director of business development-Latin America. Brian Juroff has been promoted to director of construction sales.
