Minnesota Power, an ALLETE company, Duluth, Minnesota, became a founding reporter of The Climate Registry, an organization established to measure and publicly report greenhouse gas emissions consistently, accurately and across borders and industry sectors. Founders include 39 states, the District of Columbia, six Canadian provinces, three Native American tribes, and eight Mexican states. Members voluntarily commit to measure, independently verify and publicly report their respective greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions annually using internationally recognized GHG measurement standards. More than 230 corporations, non-profit organizations, cities and counties currently report their GHG emissions to the Climate Registry.
