HCA Safety Awards

Member contractors of the Heavy Constructors Association of Greater Kansas City recently awarded certificates to the following companies for outstanding safety records in the year 2007:
Class A: (more than 300,000 work hours): Clarkson Construction Co., Kansas City, Missouri; Class B: (200,000 – 299,999 work hours): Loch Sand and Construction Co., Maryville, Missouri; Class C: (100,000 – 199,999 work hours): Damon Pursell Construction Co., Liberty, Missouri; Class D: (50,000 – 99,999 work hours): Leavenworth Excavation and Equipment Co. (LEXECO), Leavenworth, Kansas: and Class E: (10,000 – 49,999 work hours): Wiedenmann & Godfrey Construction, Inc., Belton, Missouri.
The award recipients in Classes A, D, and E all recorded zero workplace accidents in 2007. Also recording zero incidents were the following companies: APAC-Kansas, Inc., Kansas City Division, Overland Park, Kansas (Class A); Mark One Electric Co., Inc., Kansas City, Missouri (Class A); and Tenoch Construction, Inc., Fairway, Kansas (Class E).
All of these contractors are members of the Heavy Constructors Association of Greater Kansas City (HCA) — a chapter of the Associated General Contractors of America. Those members include contractors as well as the equipment and material suppliers, financial institutions, insurance agencies, legal firms and other companies who make the business of heavy construction possible. The HCA is an active association in the Kansas City metropolitan area and in the states of Kansas and Missouri.
