Staff -- Western Builder, 7/14/2008
The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee recently honored the outstanding professional achievements and civic involvement of Greg Uhen, president and CEO of Eppstein Uhen Architects, Milwaukee, by naming him as its distinguished alumnus for 2008.
Uhen graduated from the UWM School of Architecture and Urban Planning in 1981. He then accumulated four years of experience before landing a job at the firm he would eventually own: Pfaller, Herbst & Eppstein.
After only 12 years with the company, Eppstein was named president of Eppstein Uhen Architects (EUA). Today, as president and CEO, he leads the company's 140 industry professionals.
Over the past decade, he has overseen the firm's financial and technological revolution, an office move to the Third Ward, and an expansion into Madison.
The firm specializes in several distinct markets: corporate office, educational, retail/mixed-use, senior living, healthcare, residential, public, industrial, master planning, and interior design.
