Hilti DCH 230 & DCH 300 Diamond Cutters

Staff -- Associated Construction Publications, 8/15/2008

Hilti DCH 230The new Hilti DCH 230 and DCH 300 Electric Diamond Cutters set new standards in performance, safety and comfort, proving that cutting and grinding with an all-purpose tool isn't the best choice for every application.

With a 2.6 kilowatt motor, clever design and new cutting depth adjustment mechanism, the DCH 230 and DCH 300 reach the depths of 3.4 inches and 4.7 inches.

The DCH 230 and DCH 300 are designed with Hilti Smart Power, an intelligent electronic control system that constantly regulates motor power to suit the material being cut and the pressure applied to the tool. Hilti Smart Power makes these electric cutters ideal for even the toughest, thickest materials such as reinforced concrete, granite curbstone, slabs, bricks, metal beams, steel pipes, and more.

Crafted with safety in mind, the DCH 230 and DCH 300 guide away from the operator's body which helps offer protection from potentially dangerous debris. The low vibration of the tool helps increase operator comfort even when the tools are used for long periods.

One of the key components of the DCH cutters is the direct attachment of the Hilti VC20U or VC40U vacuum cleaners. The environment and the operator's productivity are improved by using the matched vacuum systems, making nearly dustless cutting possible by removing dust right at its source.

For added operator comfort, the DCH 230 and DCH 300 feature ergonomic in-line design with the grip and cutting blades in exactly the same axis, allowing more precise guidance with less pressure.

Covered under Hilti Lifetime Service, the Hilti DCH 230 and DCH 300 Diamond Cutters will be serviced quickly and reliably, if needed, with no additional cost for two years. During the lifetime repair cost limit, which begins after the two-year no cost period, the tool will have a maximum repair cost of no greater than 30 percent of the tool's then-current list price. Once the tool is repaired, it receives an additional six months of no cost service. The lifetime manufacturer's warranty covers the tool against manufacturer defects for the life of the tool (some limitations apply).
