Dewatering Project Completed in Spanaway

Federal Way, WA - DBM Contractors Inc. has completed a $300,000 dewatering project in Spanaway, WA, at the Holland Glen Lift Station.

The project consists of 30 wells, each with a 36-inch diameter at an average depth of 28 feet. DBM maintained eight pumps that extracted an average of 12.9 million gallons of water per day (3,600 gpm) over a two-month period. In addition, DBM maintained the pumps for the water collection sumps, which handled an additional 600 gallons per minute.

Owned by 8th Ave. Sewer Project LLC, the project facilitates the water main and sewage facility for the development of 101 home lots. The general contractor for the project was RPD LLC, of Spanaway.
