Bobcat Angle Blade

Staff -- Associated Construction Publications, 10/15/2008

Bobcat Angle BladeThe Bobcat® angle blade is now available as a factory-installed option on the Bobcat 337 and 435 compact excavators, in addition to the 335 and 430 models. This option allows operators to hydraulically angle the blade plus or minus 25 degrees, creating a four-way blade with up, down, right angle, and left angle movement. This angle blade option is beneficial to contractors in the landscaping, construction and utility markets who perform rough and final grading and backfilling of excavations and swales.

By angling the blade, operators can push material to one side of the machine without leaving dirt trails along the blade's sides when grading and backfilling, reducing the number of motions and passes. Dual blade cylinders provide superior cylinder protection and prevent buildup of material on the blade structure, reducing cleanup and downtime.

The 70-inch blade features a replaceable and reversible bolt-on cutting edge for extended service life. Its dual blade cylinders provide superior cylinder protection and prevent buildup of material on the blade structure. Single joystick operation allows operators to control the blade's movements, as well as two-speed travel, without moving their hand from the blade lever. Other features include blade float, which minimizes the amount of input required from the operator, and an integrated "center" indicator that helps operators position the blade.
