Klamath Falls, OR – Peterson Machinery Co., the authorized Caterpillar dealership for central and southern Oregon, has opened a new Cat Rental Store in Klamath Falls.
Serving southern Oregon as well as Modoc and eastern Siskiyou counties in California, the rental store will be housed at the Peterson Machinery Klamath Falls facility at 1434 South 6th St. The Cat Rental Store features rental equipment from more than 30 brand-name manufacturers including Caterpillar compact and full-size construction equipment, Genie scissor lifts and light towers, Sullair air compressors, as well as pumps, construction tools, and agriculture equipment.
“With an extensive remodeling project now completed and the introduction of the rental store, we're setting ourselves up for a long future at this location,” store manager Tim Murphy said. “We're proud to be a part of the Klamath Falls community, and we're looking forward to being the premier rental outlet in the area.”
Brian Evans, machine sales and rental representative, and Jeff Hayden, rental coordinator, will be working with customers at the new rental store. Evans is a 25-year Peterson veteran and has been with the Klamath Falls facility since 2004. Hayden joined the organization this September after three years in sales with RSC Equipment Rental.
The Cat Rental Store is open from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, and can be reached at 541-851-8090.
Minneapolis – Cat Auction Services, a partnership of Caterpillar dealers, is a new business focused on creating value and reducing risk for buyers and sellers of equipment.
Cat Auction Services offers detailed inspections, a range of warranty protection and parts discounts for qualified Caterpillar equipment, plus Cat dealer parts and service support. According to the company, the level of transparency in the auctions will give both buyers and sellers more information about the equipment and more options after the sale.
“Cat Auction Services will feature an inventory of Caterpillar equipment, but we also plan to be the leading source for all makes and types of equipment,” said Rick Albin, president and CEO of Cat Auction Services. “We want to give our customers more options to dispose of their surplus equipment. Our auctions won't replace traditional used equipment services from Cat dealers – it simply enhances dealer offerings and gives our customers more flexibility.”
Cat Auction Services allows buyers to purchase equipment online or in person. Real-time online bidding powered by Proxibid provides a global audience for the auctions, creating even more selling opportunities.
The first Cat Auction Services auction will take place in Des Moines, Iowa, on Nov. 12. View www.catauctions.com for more information.
