TRIP's Road and Bridge Report Says More Funding Needed in CT.
March 18, 2008
Hartford, Conn: As reported in a story in the Hartford Courant, on news broadcasts on ABC, CBS and NBC and on National Public Radio and WTIC-Talk Radio (CBS), a release of TRIP’s road and bridge conditions report blanked Connecticut with the message that more funding is needed to address the state’s pressing transportation needs, including a projected shortfall of $3.1 billion in funding over the next 10 years. TRIP partnered with the Connecticut Construction Industries Association and the Connecticut DOT to produce and release the report. Speaker of the House Jim Amann, D-Milford, and State Rep. Tony Guerrera, D-Rocky Hill, co-chair of the legislature's transportation committee both participated in the news conference.
