The new figure is a 10-percent increase over the company's previous one-day record of $18.97 million set in January 31, 2008. Equipment Exports Up 20% 05/18/2009
U.S. construction equipment exports rose 20% from 2007 to 2008 at more than $20.7 billion, according to the Association of Equipment Manufacturers. South America bought $3.3 billion of equipment, a 44% increase over 2007, and Asia took delivery of $3 billion worth of U.S. construction equipment, a 25% increase.

The East Side Combined Sewer Outflow project in Portland is designed to significantly reduce the city's sewage and storm water overflows into the Willamette River. When completed in December 2011, it will collect and intercept overflows from 12 existing combined sewer outfalls that discharge to the river.

On March 19, Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers held a ribbon-cutting grand opening at its newest site near Medford, MN, with an unreserved industrial equipment auction. The 120-acre site, at 6000 Frontage Road W., replaces the former 28-acre site in Lakeville, MN. The site has a new 30,653-square-foot building for refurbishing equipment and a 561-seat auction theater.
