Stimulus Package Provides Opportunities Staff - 04/21/2008
On February 13, President George W. Bush signed H.R. 5140, The Economic Stimulus Act of 2008. To address short-term economic uncertainties, this act is expected to put money back into the hands of American workers and business, spurring future growth. In total, the impact of the stimulus package amounts to more than $152 billion, or about 1 percent of gross domestic product (GDP).

Wisconsin Dept. Of Revenue Economic Outlook Staff - 03/24/2008
Wisconsin residents will receive an estimated $2.1 billion in federal economic stimulus payments, according to a special report in the state Department of Revenue's quarterly economic outlook. A total of 2.4 million federal rebates, averaging $877, will be issued to Wisconsin residents, boosting consumer spending in the third and fourth quarters of 2008.
