Ethanol Plants Sold Staff - 04/27/2009
Valero Energy Corp., San Antonio, TX, was the successful bidder at an auction sale to buy eight ethanol plants owned by VeraSun Energy Corp., Sioux Falls, SD. On April 1, transactions closed on plants in Charles City, Fort Dodge and Hartley, IA; Aurora, SD; and Welcome, MN, for $350 million. Two additional plants in Albion, NE, and Albert City, IA, will close by the end of April.

Strings Music Festival Pavilion Staff - 04/27/2009
For two decades, the city of Steamboat Springs, CO, held its classical and popular music concerts in a large tent. In fall 2008, the tent was replaced by an elegant timber-framed concert hall that is already drawing record crowds.
