FRISCO, TX — The Mix, a $3 billion, 112-acre, mixed-experience community in Frisco, Texas, has begun construction on a future Whole Foods Market location that will serve as the anchor tenant of The Mix’s retail center. The store, located at Dallas Parkway and Lebanon Road, will be the first Frisco location for the natural and organic foods retailer.

“We are excited to welcome Frisco’s first Whole Foods Market to The Mix,” said Tim Campbell, Head of Development for The Mix. “We believe the store will offer Frisco residents high-quality food and an elevated grocery shopping experience. Whole Foods Market has remained committed to this site and Frisco for more than 10 years and will be a great asset to The Mix and our community.”

“Frisco residents will finally get the Whole Foods Market they have long wanted, thanks to the efforts of The Mix,” Frisco City Council Member John Keating said. “The community has been asking for this unique shopping experience for years, and we are excited to see it come to fruition. Our partnership with The Mix underscores our commitment to enhancing quality of life for residents, and we look forward to the positive impact it will have on our city."

The new Whole Foods Market and upscale retail center are part of the first phase of development at The Mix, which broke ground in January 2025. Phase one of The Mix includes 28 acres, approximately 100,000 total square feet of retail space, 115,000 square feet of Class A office space, 635 urban residential units, and part of the 8-acre central park.

The Mix aims to redefine the retail experience. Its design celebrates the local landscape of North Texas while providing a connected space for the community. Arcadis is the architect of The Mix’s retail center, including Whole Foods Market.

"Our design concept draws inspiration from the natural wonders of the Texas prairie, creating an environment that seamlessly blends aesthetics, sustainability, and community wellbeing,” said Giuseppe Colosimo, Principal at Arcadis and Designer of the retail center. “Taking cues from the iconic fields of bluebonnets and the stratification found in local stones, the architecture integrates these elements of the Frisco landscape. The result is a visually stunning and cohesive design that creates a sense of connection to the region. In addition to its striking visual appeal, the retail center has been meticulously planned with sustainability in mind, incorporating eco-friendly technologies and features.”

The Mix is located in Frisco’s North Platinum Corridor with access from the Tollway, Lebanon Road, Parkwood Boulevard, and John Hickman Parkway. The Mix will feature more than 2 million square feet of Class A office space, 375,000 square feet of upscale retail, two hotels, and over 3 million square feet of residential.
