Parsons Appoints Roell as Interim President of its Federal Business Unit

PASADENA, CA Effective immediately, Parsons announces the appointment of Thomas L. "Tom" Roell as interim President of its Federal business unit (BU). In this role, he will be responsible for serving a variety of U.S. federal government agency customers in the environmental, infrastructure, security, and intelligence services markets. In addition to his role as President of Parsons' Federal BU, Roell will maintain his position as Vice Chairman, Chief Risk Advisor.

Roell joined Parsons in 2003 and has more than 45 years of industry experience in corporate, project, and business management. Prior to his appoint as Vice Chairman, Chief Risk Advisor, Roell served as Group Executive - Operations & Risk, where he was responsible for worldwide BU operations, enterprise risk, quality management, and global initiatives focused on sustainability, innovation, and project management. Before that, he was President of Parsons Infrastructure & Technology Groupnow known as Federalwhere he was responsible for the successful worldwide performance of the BU. Before joining Parsons, Roell held senior executive positions in the government, environmental, and power sectors of the engineering and construction industry.Â
Roell holds a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Pennsylvania State University. He began his career as an engineer for nuclear plants and large industrial plants in the basic steel, aluminum, chemical, cement, and other industries. He is based in Parsons' Pasadena, California, corporate headquarters.
