$10M Construction Contract for City Streets Approved by Corpus Christi City Council
CORPUS CHRISTI, TX — The City Council awarded a $10-million construction contract to Haas Anderson Construction, Ltd. of Corpus Christi for the FY 2022 Street Preventative Maintenance Program.
The approved contract will provide city-wide road maintenance on 19 streets located across all five council districts. The scope of work will include base repairs, mill and overlays, and the rehabilitation of curbs and gutters. Minor improvements to related water, wastewater, and storm water infrastructure will also be performed as part of this program.
In the FY 2022 budget, City Council approved another record setting $123 million for programs to repair or reconstruct the city's roadways. Most recently, City Council approved the appropriation of the full $19.8 million in contracts earmarked for the Residential Street Repair Program (RSRP). The RSRP program is addressing 43 streets across the city.
“Your City Council remains steadfast in our commitment to providing our residents with excellent roads to drive on,” said Mayor Paulette Guajardo. “We will not cease our efforts until all streets in need of attention in Corpus Christi are addressed."
