ROCKVILLE, MD  NIKA, a global provider of architecture, engineering, facilities and operations, and maintenance solutions to government, announces that Chip Denman has joined the executive leadership team as Executive Vice President.

In this newly created position, Denman will play a key role in the operational transformation and restructure of key service lines to accommodate NIKA's growth. He will lead strategic initiatives to leverage and scale NIKA's proven capabilities to address the needs of additional clients and larger programs. He will also be responsible for extending NIKA's reputation across federal agencies as a preeminent government solution provider and working closely with buyers to implement strategies designed to improve mission results.

"I am excited to have Chip aboard," said Kabir Chaudhary, President and Chief Executive Officer. "He will advance NIKA's corporate strategy and continue to strengthen relationships between NIKA and its government customers. Chip's military background will be a strong complement to our executive team and will prove invaluable as we continue to identify our key strategic business priorities."

Denman served his full career in the Navy. Through his exceptional command, he has earned the Defense Superior Service, Legion of Merit, and the State Department's Superior Honor Award medals. During his duty as Commander Military Sealift command, Far East, Denman was responsible for 47 ships and six shore commands across the western Pacific and Indian Oceans.

"NIKA has consistently delivered results for its clients, even on some of the most challenging programs. With shrinking government budgets, it is important that what we do be viewed as an investment that is essential to mission success," said Denman. "I am excited to join the NIKA leadership team and to be charged with defining our corporate strategies as we seek to deliver results for a broader set of customers."

Before joining NIKA, Denman served as the Director, International Security Operations and senior Naval Advisor at the State Department. Prior to that, Denman's shore assignments included Legislative Advisor to the Chief of Naval Personnel and Strategist for the Office of the Chief of Naval Operations (OPNAV) and Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD). Denman is a graduate of the United States Naval Academy and earned his Master's Degree from the Army's Command and General Staff College.
