Dewberry Announces the Promotions of Simons and Webb

RALEIGH, NC Dewberry announces the promotions of Emmett Simons, P.E., and Stephen Webb, P.E., to Senior Associates in the firm's Raleigh, North Carolina, office.
Simons is a structural engineer and project manager with 14 years of experience in educational facilities, institutional buildings, industrial buildings, military facilities, utilities, and water treatment facilities. He designed primary steam distribution tunnel repairs, extensions, and updates at the University of Virginia; multiple cast-in-place concrete structures at a 2.5 MGD wastewater treatment plant in North Carolina; and evaluated 350,000 square feet of educational facilities for a Virginia public school system following a magnitude 5.8 earthquake. Simons received his bachelor's and master's degrees in architectural engineering with a concentration in structural systems from Pennsylvania State University and is a registered professional engineer in Georgia, Maryland, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia.
Webb is an electrical engineer and senior project manager with 16 years of experience in utility and building system engineering design. He specializes in power networks, on-site power generation, uninterruptable power, and power system distribution protection and control. Webb has coordinated arc flash hazard studies; designed interior, exterior, site/roadway, and sports field lighting systems and controls; and has supported telecommunications, fire and mass notification alarm systems, and security technology projects. Webb received his bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Virginia Tech. He is a member of the National Fire Protection Association and a registered professional engineer in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia.
