Anater Joins Gannett Fleming to Lead National Transportation Planning Services

RALEIGH, NC Gannett Fleming welcomes Patrick R. Anater, AICP, back to the firm as a Senior Transportation Planner and Planning Manager after nearly three years. He had previously been a member of the company for 13 years and is based in Gannett Fleming's Raleigh, North Carolina, office.

Anater's extensive experience in transportation planning plays a key role in his new responsibilities. He conducts a wide range of planning projects and manages the company's national planning services. His specialties lie in goods movement, intermodal freight planning, long-range plans, travel demand forecasting, planning tool development, corridor planning, multimodal studies and plans, evaluation of transportation impacts and performance measures. Anater continues to provide transportation solutions for federal, state and local clients by assisting them in the development of various freight and transit planning activities, feasibility studies, multimodal corridor studies and plans, parking studies, land use analysis, and other planning specialties.

"Pat's technical knowledge, organization and dedication to the provision of quality planning services to clients has made him a great addition to Gannett Fleming," said Mark Metil, PE, PTOE, Director of Transportation Operations and Planning. "He has been tasked with organizing and growing our planning services across the company, to expand the quality planning products we provide to our clients."

Anater holds a Bachelor of Arts in economics from the University of Pittsburgh and a masters of urban and regional planning from the University of Colorado. He is a member of the Transportation Research Board's (TRB) Committee on Visualization in Transportation and has conducted and served on the panel of several TRB research projects. He is also a member of the American Planning Association, American Institute of Certified Planners, and North Carolina American Planning Association.
