Presiozo Joins CMAA as New Vice President of Communications

MCLEAN, VA The Construction Management Association of America (CMAA) welcomes the return of Danelle Prezioso, previously of MBP, as its new Vice President of Communications. Prezioso comes to CMAA with over 17 years of construction industry marketing and communications experience.
Prezioso previously worked for CMAA from 2000-2004 in various communications related roles. During her absence from the association, Prezioso spent three years as Keville Enterprise's marketing manager and nine years as MBP's communications and marketing director and vice president.
"We're lucky to have someone like Danelle on our staff." said CMAA President & CEO, Bruce D'Agostino, CAE, FCMAA. "Through her combination of association and industry experience, she understands what members want and how to deliver it to them."
To enhance the accessibility and appeal of the profession, Prezioso places promotion at the forefront of her agenda. "Professional CM has an ambiguity problem," said Prezioso. "Too many people in the AEC industry either don't know or hold inaccurate beliefs of what CM is. My goal is to educate the masses and hopefully introduce more people to the [CM] profession."
Prezioso also cites "improving collaboration between project teams" as another area of emphasis. "Construction Managers are often seen by some project participants as an adversary from the moment they step foot onto a project site. Collaboration amongst all parties ensures success and this cannot be accomplished alone," said Prezioso.
Prezioso takes over for John J. McKeon, who retired. McKeon, the author of Becoming a Construction Manager, and numerous CMAA white papers, spent over a decade as the Association's Vice President of Communications.
