Dewberry Hires Davey as Senior Project Manager

FAIRFAX, VA Dewberry recently announced that Tom Davey, PE, has been hired as a Senior Project Manager in the firm's electrical engineering division in Raleigh, North Carolina. In this new role, Davey is responsible for project management from the concept phase through negotiations, construction administration, document preparations, and the governing of standards and codes.
Davey joins Dewberry with more than 40 years of electrical engineering and power generation experience, including transmission and distribution substation design; substation protection and controls engineering; design of power generation and balance of plant (BOP) electrical support systems; and commercial medium voltage electrical infrastructure design and master planning. He has also held multiple management roles, including electrical/instrument and controls manager and deputy site, programs, systems, and design engineering manager. Since joining the firm, Davey has provided reports and input for the electrical systems modernization master plan study at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill.
Davey earned a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from North Carolina State University and a master's degree in business administration from Old Dominion University. He is a professional engineer in Texas and a senior member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers.
