Bass Heads Transportation Client Services In Carolinas

RALEIGH, NC David Bass has been named Vice President and Director of Transportation Client Services for WSP USA in the Carolinas.

In his new position, Bass will play a fundamental role in developing the company's transportation client base throughout North Carolina, expanding WSP's portfolio with the North Carolina Department of Transportation and municipal departments of transportation, and ensuring effective delivery of projects in the region. He will be based in the firm's Raleigh, North Carolina, office.

Bass has nearly 30 years of experience in planning, engineering, project management and business development. He is well versed in all forms of transportation, including aviation, rail, and toll facilities. Prior to joining WSP, he was the North Carolina design services manager at a national architecture, civil engineering consulting and construction management firm. 

"The addition of David is a big step toward fulfilling our goal to provide excellence in planning/engineering and client care in North Carolina," said Brock LaForty, the firm's Area Manager for the Carolinas. "David's industry ingenuity, combined with his passion for client service, will put WSP in a strong positon to grow our existing best-in-class services."

A licensed professional engineer in North Carolina, Bass earned a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from North Carolina State University. His professional affiliations include the National Society of Professional Engineers, the Professional Engineers of North Carolina's Central Carolina chapter, and the American Society of Highway Engineers.
