MECHANICSBURG, PA Modjeski and Masters announces its selection for the Citywide Consultant Bridge Inspection contract with the District Department of Transportation (DDOT).

This third consecutive contract selection continues Modjeski and Masters' partnership with DDOT, which began with its first selection ten years ago. Since then, Modjeski and Masters has built a strong relationship with DDOT and a deep understanding of its bridges and transportation systems.

"We are honored to be selected for an unprecedented third Citywide Consultant Bridge Inspection contract by DDOT," said Mike Britt, President and CEO of Modjeski and Masters. "Having inspected its nearly 300 bridges over the past ten years, our firm understands the challenges and benefits each one brings to our nation's capital. We believe this deep understanding provides us a unique benefit for extending the life of these structures."

In previous DDOT selections, the Modjeski and Masters Team completed work including evaluating bridges for scour, monitoring areas of concern on specific bridges, and peer review of new designs. As part of this new Citywide Consultant Bridge contract, Modjeski and Masters will lead bridge inspections, perform load capacity ratings, respond to bridge emergencies, and provide overall quality assurance.

This latest selection continues Modjeski and Masters' successful long-term partnership with the District which dates back to the early 1930's.
