Bloss Named Oklahoma DOT Division Three Engineer in Ada
ADA, OK Kevin Bloss has been selected to be Division Three Engineer, headquartered in Ada, for the Oklahoma Department of Transportation (ODOT). He succeeds Paul Rachel, who recently retired. In his new position, Bloss will oversee all construction and maintenance activities in 11 counties which include - Cleveland, Coal, Garvin, Hughes, Johnston, Lincoln, McClain, Okfuskee, Pontotoc, Pottawatomie and Seminole - and includes portions of the Oklahoma City metro area.
Bloss began his career with ODOT in 1986 as an Engineer In Training. He moved up to Engineer Intern at the Purcell Residency in 1987 and then the Maintenance Division in 1988. In 1991, he was named Engineer Manager for Division Two, headquartered in Antlers. He served as Assistant State Maintenance Engineer starting in 1994 until he was promoted to State Maintenance Engineer in 2004. He held that position until his most recent promotion to Division Three Engineer.
Bloss holds a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from the University of Oklahoma and became a Professional Engineer in 1991. In addition to his duties at ODOT, Bloss served as a board member and officer for Keep Oklahoma Beautiful and has been active in the Norman High School wrestling and football booster clubs. He and his wife, Kristi, have three children and live in Norman.
