Geotechnology Hires Blackwell to Manage its Arkansas Office
ST. LOUIS, MO Geotechnology, Inc., a leading provider of geotechnical and environmental engineering, geophysics, water resource management, materials testing and drilling services, announces that Derek Blackwell, EI, joins the firm and will manage its Jonesboro, Arkansas, office.
As Office Manager, Blackwell's first priority will be to assist Geotechnology in establishing a new soils and Construction Materials Testing (CMT) laboratory for the region. He will also provide client consultation, prepare/oversee reporting, help to pursue/secure future work, assist with filling positions, provide training and oversee personnel.
Blackwell has more than 16 years of experience in the engineer/construction industry. He started out as a quality control technician at an asphalt company in the area before moving on to be a field inspector for the Arkansas Highway Transportation Department. He also has worked for an Arkansas-based geotechnical and CMT firm where he eventually became their office manager.
