OKLAHOMA CITY, OK During the November Commission meeting Chris Wallace was introduced as Division Engineer for the Oklahoma Department of Transportation's Division One in Muskogee, Oklahoma.
Shortly after graduating from Oklahoma State University with a bachelor's degree in civil engineering in 2005, he joined ODOT as an Engineer-in-Training at the El Reno Residency. Wallace became the Division Four Area Maintenance Manager in 2009 and was later promoted to Stimulus Coordinator. As Stimulus Coordinator, Wallace worked closely in helping with projects in coordination with the Stimulus Act in 2009. In 2010, he became Division One Traffic Engineer and then Resident Engineer at the Muskogee Residency.
In 2012, Wallace served as the Construction Engineer for Division One until appointed to his current post. The division engineer oversees all maintenance and construction activities on highways and interstates in Adair, Cherokee, Haskell, McIntosh, Muskogee, Okmulgee, Sequoyah and Wagoner counties in eastern Oklahoma.
Wallace was born in Burkburnett, Texas, and served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1996 to 2000. He lives in Fort Gibson, Oklahoma, with his wife Felicia and their two children.
Chad Pendley was appointed the position of Chief of Traffic Engineering for the Oklahoma Department of Transportation in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
In that capacity, he is responsible for the establishment of traffic engineering policies and related procedures for the department. Those include signing, traffic signals, highway lighting, speed zones, pavement markings, traffic studies and the operation of the Central Sign Shop.
Pendley began his career with ODOT in 2012 as Division Two Traffic Engineer in southeastern Oklahoma and held that position until becoming Chief of Traffic Engineering. Pendley has been a registered Professional Engineer since 2003. He is a member of the Oklahoma Traffic Engineering Association and has severed an integral role in securing a $6.2 million federal FASTLANE grant award for US-69/75 in Bryan County.
He was born in Big Spring, Texas, and holds a bachelor's degree in Engineering Technology from the University of North Texas.
Pendley and his wife Cathye have five children, three grandchildren and currently reside in Antlers, Oklahoma.
Matthew Swift was named Division Engineer for the Strategic Asset and Performance Management Division, located in Oklahoma City, in November 2016. He previously served as the Pavement Management Engineer. In his new position with the division, Swift will oversee data collection and reporting for ODOT highway asset management and performance measurement systems, as well as geographic information systems and mapping organization of the division.
Swift began his career at ODOT in 2004 as a Project Engineer in Roadway Design and held that position until becoming the Pavement Management Engineer in the SAPM Division. In 2015 Swift was one of two selected to represent Oklahoma in the first Emerging Leaders Program with the Western Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials. Swift holds a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from the University of Arkansas and a master's degree in business administration from the University of Central Oklahoma.
He and his wife Season have three children and live in Jones, Oklahoma.
