Borea Joins Finley Engineering Group as Bridge Engineer
NEW YORK, NY Bridge design firm, Finley Engineering Group (FINLEY), welcomes new staff member Carmine Borea, P.E., as Bridge Engineer to its growing bridge design and construction engineering firm.

Borea has 5 years of bridge design and construction engineering experience with an expertise in precast segmental bridge beams in the United States and around the world. His experience as a bridge designer includes the Section 5-Palmetto SR 826/836 Interchange, Miami, Florida, the Evergreen Line Rapid Transit Project, Vancouver, Canada, the Viaducto Gran Manglar, Cartagena, Columbia, and the Westconnex - M4 Widening in Sydney, Australia.
Borea will be assigned to the Bayonne Bridge Navigational Clearance Project working on the launching gantries kinematics, along with providing technical support to Skanska Koch Kiewit's erection of the segmental viaduct approach structures. This $850 million project, located in New York/New Jersey includes raising the bridge deck by 64 feet to meet the navigational clearance needs of post-Panamex vessels.

Borea achieved Cum Laude honors while earning a Bachelor of Science in environmental engineering and a Master of Science in civil engineering with a specialization in structural and geotechnical engineering from the Universita di Napoli "Federico II." He is a member of the American Segmental Bridge Institute.
