KCMA Corporation Announces 2016 Salesman of the Year Award Recipient Bill McLoughlin, Elliott & Frantz

PRUSSIA, PA KCMA Corporation announces the winner of the 2016 KCMA Corporation Wheel Loader Salesman of the Year award, Bill McLoughlin of Elliott & Frantz, King of Prussia, Pennsylvania. 

"Bill represents the characteristics KCMA looks for in awarding this honor," said Al Quinn, Vice President, Sales & Marketing, KCMA Corporation. McLoughlin received his award during an award ceremony in the corporate offices of Elliott & Frantz followed by a congratulatory dinner celebration.

"We don't necessarily select the top volume sales representative, rather we select someone who exhibits the professionalism, skill, and attitude that conveys the integrity of the KCMA mission statement 'Promises Kept.' Bill has always represented himself, Elliott & Frantz, and his manufacturers in the most ethical manner. Bill is a great representative of KCM Wheel loaders, and we are proud to present him with this award," said Sam Shelton, Marketing Manager, KCMA Corporation.

McLoughlin is a well respected industry veteran. 

"I started with Elliott & Frantz in 1979. I actually knew Jim (Jim Elliott, CEO of Elliott & Frantz) back in college in 1968. So we've been together a very long time. I started with the New Jersey territory and I had one county. It was a little difficult to be honest with you, because I didn't know much about the heavy equipment business. It was a 'here's a case of Vodka, here's a list of customers, go introduce yourself.' So I did. And I got very lucky with some very big customers that took a liking to me and took me under their wing," said Bill McLoughlin, VP of Elliott & Frantz. "Fast forward 28 years and South State is still running Kawasaki loaders. They have 26 of them at the moment. And things have been good. I still take care of New Jersey, North and South, I also manage the Philadelphia territory, and the Delaware territory. We have a few sales people. So I keep pretty busy in three states. It has worked out very well. It's been a lot of fun, and I don't plan on going anywhere yet. 

You know when we started with Kawasaki, I guess we were one of their first dealers, and we weren't sure what to make of it. We were then a Fiat"Alice dealer and did very well with their loaders. But Kawasaki has just been tremendous. The product is great. The support, starting with our local guys and the corporate guys, it's really been a team effort. I mean, several times I've gotten into jams on these loaders, and those guys have always stood behind me. You know the Tier 4 interim was not as bad as it could have been. The tier 4 final has been pretty good. So it has all worked out.

I think the influence of Hitachi Construction Machinery Group on KCMA will be great for all of us. We've been a Hitachi dealer since the early 80's, in excavators. They do a great job. I think it is going to be a bright future. I'm looking forward to it."
