Brasfield & Gorrie Completes Construction of New StoneSprings Hospital
NASHVILLE, TN — Brasfield & Gorrie announces the completion of construction at the new StoneSprings Hospital Center in Sterling, Virginia.
The 234,000-square-foot hospital features 124 all private patient beds and will provide a comprehensive range of medical services, including a full-service, twenty-four-seven emergency room, medical, surgical, labor and delivery, pediatric and intensive care services, a cutting-edge cardiac catheterization lab, and state-of-the-art diagnostic imaging and interventional equipment.
In addition to the hospital facility, Brasfield & Gorrie constructed a 100,000-square-foot medical office building on the 51-acre site, which is located less than 10 miles from Dulles International Airport.
The new facility will serve one of the fastest growing areas in the country, Loudoun County, Virginia, and is the first new hospital to be constructed in the county in 100 years.
Brasfield & Gorrie’s Nashville, Tennessee, office served as general contractor, teaming with architect Gresham, Smith & Partners to complete this $95.8 million construction project for HCA Virginia Health System.
Brasfield & Gorrie broke ground on the hospital in March 2014 and completed construction in October 2015.
The hospital officially opened to the public Dec. 7, 2015.
