Transwestern Development Co. to Bring Office Tower to Central Perimeter in Atlanta

ATLANTA, GA — Transwestern Development Co. announces its plan to develop a trophy office tower at the intersection of Hammond Drive and Perimeter Center Parkway in Atlanta, Georgia. The 354,500-square-foot office building, called Nexus, is expected to break ground in first-quarter 2017 with delivery slated for fourth-quarter 2018.
Nexus will provide occupants with exceptional transportation and walkability options through a direct, covered connection to the Dunwoody MARTA station, walkability to Perimeter Mall and other area amenities, and excellent access to Interstate 285, State Route 400 and the Central Perimeter primary road network. The building design will provide a modern combination of floorplate efficiency, natural light, energy efficiency and sustainability.
“The increasing demand in the Central Perimeter market for Class A space that provides excellent transit access and superior walkability makes the timing for this project ideal,” said Trent Germano, Senior Managing Director at Transwestern Development Co. “Nexus will offer the perfect work environment for large corporate users looking to relocate to this highly sought-after submarket.”
Nexus will have a podium design that includes high-performance, floor-to-ceiling glass, a 10-foot finished ceiling height and highly flexible floorplates to accommodate both open and closed layouts. The two-story lobby and common areas will have premium finishes. Parking will be within the base of the building and in an adjacent multilevel structure, which will be connected to the building via skybridge and provide a covered pedestrian passageway allowing occupants to walk directly from the building lobby to the MARTA station concourse.
“Nexus represents the next generation workplace,” said Bo Jackson, Senior Managing Director at Transwestern. “Beyond its superior location, the building design allows tenants to optimize space efficiency and provide an overall environment conducive to recruiting and retaining the best talent.”
Award-winning architect Cooper Carry has been selected for the design of this project. Transwestern will be providing the leasing and management services.
