DANIA BEACH, FL — Hermes Norero, PE, President/CEO of Building Drops, Inc. announces Ronny Lindsay as the Director of Engineering of Building Drops, Inc. and Miguel Montoya as Director of Business Development.

As the Director of Engineering of Building Drops, Lindsay brings expertise and passion in unique concepts in design and project management in the field of structural engineering.

Lindsay's experience compliments Building Drop's already robust team of engineers. Building Drops looks forward in growing its successful company into new territory by providing structural engineering services involving special and threshold inspections of new construction projects as well as structural designs for substrate structures for fenestration applications.

Lindsay earned his bachelor's degree in civil engineering from Florida International University and has specialized in structural engineering for the past 11 years. Lindsay's structural experience ranges from design to construction administration and field inspections for a variety of structures including commercial, municipal, historic and residential structures, as well as threshold inspections of commercial and residential buildings. Design experience includes both new construction and rehabilitation of existing buildings. Structural systems design includes steel structures, reinforced concrete, reinforced masonry, pre-cast concrete, post-tension, structural timber, wood framing, pile foundations, and light-gage steel, aluminum construction for low-rise construction.

Lindsay also brings six years of entrepreneurship as owner, manager and head trainer for a sports performance and fitness gym. He continues to hone his skills of seeing the big picture, building team cohesiveness, discerning individual needs, and creating unique programs. Lindsay's natural enthusiasm and high standards are exemplified by his commitment to his family and Olympic Weightlifting training.

Miguel Montoya, Director of Business Development

Montoya is responsible for representing the organization with respect to the promotion, sales and service of all lines of business within North America, South America, and other international markets as assigned. 

Montoya started working with Miami-Dade County distributor as a key player in the hurricane resistant windows and doors market. Besides managing existing accounts and developing new ones, he identified product improvements, along with introducing new products opportunities by translating customers' needs to the manufacturer. Montoya provided technical and support information to glazing and general contractors, engineers, developers and architects. Working side by side with the manufacturer gave Miguel a broad knowledge of the Miami-Dade County NOA certification process. 

Montoya moved from Colombia to complete his Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering at the University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida. After finishing his bachelor's degree, he was accepted to graduate school and complemented his education with a master's in engineering management, which he obtained in 2009.

Montoya likes to exceed customers' expectations by providing a quality service in a timely fashion. We believe that with his industry experience and education our customers will keep receiving the service level that Building Drops is well known for. In his spare time, Montoya enjoys traveling, playing soccer and racquetball.
