ORLANDO, FL — ICON Residential's SoDo Place townhomes is an Aurora Awards Honoree as a top vote recipient in the On-the-Board Multi-Family Community category.

SoDo Place was entered by Design Styles Architecture, Inc. and received a Silver Aurora Award. In addition, it will be eligible for the Golden and Grand Awards to be announced at the Aurora Awards ceremony at the 2017 Southeast Building Conference in late July.

"Strong towering elements define each unit, while folding and undulating forms define the balconies and terraces, creating a unique texture along the lower levels of the streetscape," said Architect Andy Dohmen. "The design appeals to the multiple demographics in the vibrant SoDo area utilizing modern open concept layouts and a fresh, functional urban vibe."

SoDo Place consists of 23 modern townhomes in an urban setting, with three unique floor plans ranging from 1,900 square feet to 2,000 square feet. SoDo Place features concrete block insulated construction, large windows, high ceilings, and private balconies. Residents will have their choice of designer finishes and high-end appliances to suit their needs and styles throughout the community.

"We specialize in developing attractively designed townhomes in desirable infill locations across the southeastern U.S.," said ICON Residential Principal Mike Bednarski, a Managing Partner. "ICON Residential strives to be at the forefront of unique, modern architecture and innovative, functional design."
