SAGINAW, MI There has been a lot of buzz surrounding Michigan CAT's new Certified Operator Trainer, Gordon Wearsch, lately, and for good reason.
Wearsch is a recent graduate of the vigorous training session held at the Edwards Demonstration and Learning Center in Peoria, Illinois, where he became a Certified Dealer Instructor. Michigan CAT is now one of 38 Caterpillar dealers in North America to have such a valued resource on their roster.
As a top performer in his training class, Wearsch received the following praise from his instructor, "I wanted to acknowledge the fine efforts of Gordie Wearsch in Caterpillar Instructor Accreditation Program class last week. He was an extremely involved participant throughout the week and gave a very professional final presentation on Friday. It was a pleasure to meet Gordie and to experience his talents."
Since earning his certification, Wearsch has been using this newfound accreditation to work closely with customers across the state, cascading the value of what he has learned to Michigan CAT's customers. In the construction world, the success of a customer's business depends on the quality of their operators. Good operators move the maximum amount of material in the minimum amount of time. They run machines safely and they know how to cut down on unnecessary wear and tear.Â
