Maibach Awarded the Community Builder Award by Habitat for Humanity Oakland County

SOUTHFIELD, MI Doug Maibach, Chairman of Barton Malow Enterprise and Executive Vice President of Barton Malow Company, has been honored with Habitat for Humanity of Oakland County's Community Builder Award. The award was presented to Maibach at Habitat's Extravaganza at The Townsend in Birmingham, Michigan. It is in recognition of Detroit, Michigan, -area philanthropy and civic leadership.
Maibach has been a passionate and prominent leader in both of these areas throughout his career. He has exemplified what "community building" is all about both professionally and personally and has served as a sensitive and committed community member for organizations including the Woodhaven Retirement Community, the Apostolic Christian Church of Livonia, United Way, Habitat for Humanity, the American Heart Association, ACE Mentor, and the Children's Center of Detroit. Maibach is a 31-year veteran of Barton Malow Company and also serves as the Board Liaison for the Barton Malow Company Foundation.
Maibach is an active leader for a number of professional associations including the Associated General Contractors of America and is involved with the Construction Users Roundtable and the Construction Industry Institute. He is a past President of the American Concrete Institute - Greater Michigan Chapter, as well as past Chairman of the AGC of Michigan board. He is also a member of the Engineering Society of Detroit, and a registered Professional Engineer in Michigan, Ohio, and Connecticut, and a Licensed Builder in Michigan, Louisiana, California, and Colorado.
