CAM Hires Griffin and Promotes Alfonsi
BLOOMFIELD HILLS, MI The Construction Association of Michigan (CAM) announces the hiring of Jason Griffin as its new Director of Safety and Education Services. He assumes the role from Tracey Alfonsi, who moves into the position of CAM Director of Sales and Marketing.
Griffin comes to CAM from MIOSHA, where he was appointed to MIOSHA's Consultation Education and Training (CET) Division in 2010 and provided construction safety services for the mid-east counties of Michigan. He also provided training and consultation to assist companies in the development of comprehensive safety programs and adherence to MIOSHA standards.
Griffin holds bachelor's degree in business administration from Davenport University. In 2013, he was selected as a Rising Star of Safety by the National Safety Council; he also received the Good Government Symbol of Excellence in 2013, and MIOSHA's Excellence in Service award in 2014.
Alfonsi joined the CAM staff in 2011 as the Director of Education and Safety Services. Throughout the last four years, she has played an important role for the CAM membership, providing safety education to more than 3,000 workers. Under her supervision, CAMSAFETY has become a premier safety program in the state of Michigan, and introducing the availability of online instruction has reenergized CAMTEC.
In her new role, Alfonsi will oversee all of CAM's marketing and sales activities. These include: sales; retention and marketing for new members; Construction Project News; Buyers Guide listings sales; website development; networking; social and promotional events; and new product development and rollout.
"We are expecting great things from Tracey because she has proven herself time and again," said CAM President Kevin Koehler. "She has the talent and dedication that such a job requires."
