Krueger Joins HNTB's Automated and Connected Vehicles Program

DETROIT, MI  Greg Krueger, PE, joins HNTB Corporation as Associate Vice President and Program Director for emerging technologies in transportation, with an initial emphasis on automated and connected vehicles.  He is based in Michigan, but will support the firm's Intelligent Transportation Systems programs and clients nationwide.
At HNTB, Krueger is responsible for marketing and program initiatives associated with emerging mobility solutions across the country. With more than 20 years of experience, Krueger is working with both public and private sector clients to facilitate the deployment of connected and automated vehicles on the nation's roadways.
"With extensive knowledge in the research and development of connected vehicles, Greg is integral in supporting clients with how these emerging technologies will impact roadways and transportation operations," said Jim Barbaresso, Vice President and HNTB National Practice Leader for Intelligent Transportation Systems.
Previously, Krueger was Manager of the United States Department of Transportation Southeast Michigan Connected Vehicle Test Bed where he oversaw the day-to-day operations and technology enhancements for the original Proof of Concept facility. Krueger also served as Michigan Department of Transportation's Program Manager for its statewide Intelligent Transportation Systems program, overseeing all development, deployment, operations and maintenance of ITS throughout the state of Michigan.
Additionally, Krueger has supported the Safety Pilot Model Deployment effort in Ann Arbor, Michigan, as well as a variety of other connected vehicle programs for U.S. DOT, Michigan DOT, and the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials.
Krueger earned a Master of Science degree in civil engineering, with an emphasis on traffic engineering, from Texas A&M University. He also received a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering from Colorado State University. He is a registered professional engineer.
