Berry Tractor & Equipment Co. Hosts Field Day for Komatsu's New Intelligent Control Machines

Aaron Dickens, Kelly Briggs, Wayne Blankley, Allen Shelton and Chad Mayer of Bayer Construction Co.
With the intention of demonstrating the incredible new capabilities of Komatsu's Intelligent Machine Control Excavators and Dozers, Berry Tractor & Equipment Co. held an equipment field day on the grounds of Bayer Construction Company's Zeandale Quarry in Manhattan, Kansas. On hand were representatives from Berry Tractor & Equipment Co., Komatsu, the Kansas Land Improvement Contractors Association, and some very interested contractors.
The Komatsu D61EXi-23 and D65PXi-18 Crawler Dozers were both put to the test during the demo. While the D61EXi-23 has been out for a while and has already won over its target audience, the bigger D65PXi-18 has been recently introduced by Komatsu and already impresses the industry. The D65PXi-18 intelligent machine control system allows automated operation from heavy dozing to fine grading, from rough cut to finish grade, achieving up to 8 percent greater efficiency in moving material. With the D65PXi-18, there is no need for operators to climb on the blade to install/remove GNSS antennas because there are no blade mounted sensors and components, which means no coiled cables to snag and no electrical connections to slow the start and end of every shift.
Berry Tractor & Equipment Co. also brought the new Komatsu PC210LCi-10 Excavator, which is the world's first Intelligent Machine Control excavator featuring Komatsu's revolutionary machine control and guidance system. This exclusive control function lets the contractor focus on moving material efficiently, with no worry about digging too deep or damaging the target surface. From rough digging to finish grading, the PC210LCi-10 excavator drastically improves efficiency and precision on work sites.
Headquartered in Wichita, Kansas, with three additional dealerships in Garden City and Topeka, Kansas, and Springfield, Missouri, Berry Tractor & Equipment Co. is showing contractors how they can operate more efficiently and effectively with Komatsu's latest Intelligent Machine Control Dozers and Excavators.
