ST. LOUIS, MO The Emerging Leaders Committee (EL) of the American Society of Concrete Contractors (ASCC), St. Louis, Missouri, initiates a mentoring program for its contractor and associate members announces Bev Garnant, Executive Director.

"The program seeks to unite seasoned concrete construction professionals with members of lesser experience in a guided program to share knowledge and expertise," said Greg Hyde, Hyde Concrete, and an EL Committee member.

The program is open to all ASCC contractor and associate members at no cost.  Mentors are selected for their proficiency in a variety of disciplines, i.e. tilt-up, superflat floors, decorative concrete, industrial construction, business management, field operations, etc.  Mentees can be any member looking to augment their general concrete construction knowledge or find guidance in a particular area.

"This program directly supports ASCC's mission to "˜enhance the capabilities of those who build with concrete," said Matt Poppoff, Co-Chair of the EL.

The ASCC is a non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing the capabilities of those who build with concrete, and to providing them a unified voice in the construction industry. Members include concrete contracting firms, manufacturers, suppliers and others interested in the concrete industry such as architects, engineers and specifiers. There are approximately 550 member companies in the United States and 12 foreign countries.
