McCownGordon Construction Adds Fifteen New Associates
KANSAS CITY, MO Fifteen professionals have joined McCownGordon Construction in Kansas City, Missouri, in the second quarter of this year. The addition of these team members brings the number of full-time employees of the firm to more than 210 located in the company's Kansas City, Missouri, and Manhattan, Kansas, office locations, as well as working on projects across Missouri, Kansas, and the Midwest region.

"We warmly welcome these professionals and anticipate additional hiring throughout the remainder of the year to meet the needs of our clients' and their projects."
Currently, the firm is performing construction management services for a variety of significant projects in the region, including the expansion project for the Church of the Resurrection in Leawood, Kansas, Olathe West High School in Olathe, Kansas, Kansas University Medical Center Health Education Building, the University of Central Missouri - Missouri Innovation Campus, and Kansas City Young Audiences renovation, among others.
Matt Rose is a graduate of Springfield College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in business management. Rose will be working on projects for the Lawrence, Kansas, school district.
William "Bill" Busby holds a bachelor's degree in geography from the University of Central Missouri. He will also be working on projects for the Lawrence, Kansas, school district. (no photo)
Randy Buck joins the firm as a Senior Superintendent. A specialist in healthcare construction, Buck will be working on McCownGordon projects including a medical office building in South Overland Park, Kansas, which is utilizing the design-build delivery methods.
Project Managers and Project Engineers:
Ryan Khatib, Project Manager, is a graduate of Northern Michigan University. He holds a bachelor's degree in construction management.
David Beckenhauer, Project Engineer, attended Kansas State University where he earned a bachelor's degree in construction science and management. Beckenhauer is working on a project the firm is performing for Garmin in Johnson County, Kansas.
Julie Garvey, Project Engineer, is a graduate of Iowa State University where she earned bachelor's degree in architecture. Garvey will be working on the Church of the Resurrection's new 3,500-person sanctuary project. McCownGordon is serving as the construction manager.
Tyler Stotler, Project Engineer, attended the University of Central Missouri and received a bachelor's degree in construction management. Stotler is a specialist in healthcare construction and will be working on a variety of projects the firm is managing across the Kansas City metropolitan area.
Daniel Karanja, Project Engineer, recently graduated from the University of Kansas with a bachelor's degree in civil engineering. Karanja will be working on projects for the University of Central Missouri related to the Missouri Innovation Campus.
Michael Simms, Senior Project Engineer, is a graduate of Tennessee State University where he earned a bachelor's degree in architectural engineering. Simms will be working on the St. Michael the Archangel high school project for the Diocese of Kansas City - St. Joseph, Missouri.
Lucas Johnson, Project Engineer, is a graduate of Iowa State University where he earned a bachelor's degree in construction engineering. Johnson will work on the Olathe West High School Project.
Gregg KolasÃ©, QA/QC Specialist, is a graduate of Iowa State University and he holds a bachelor's degree in industrial engineering. As part of the firm's QA/QC program, KolasÃ© joins an extremely successful team dedicated to quality management and delivery.
Brandi Riggs joins McCownGordon as Talent Acquisition and Retention Manager. Riggs attended Central Missouri State University where she received a bachelor's degree in psychology. She also holds a master's degree in organizational development from Avila University.
Katie Lewis joins the firm as a Marketing Coordinator. Lewis is a graduate of the University of Kansas and has experience in marketing and graphic design coordination. She will assist with corporate and project marketing initiatives to support the firm's marketing strategy.
Eric Henry, Help Desk Specialist, joins the firm's information technology team and Dawn Dudley joins the firm as an Estimating Assistant working on various projects as assigned.
